Way behind on the blogging – it’s been 14 months! Just working hard and enjoying life! Here are some photos from one of many photography assignments I completed in 2024. This one was for The Wilderness Society who asked me to spend a couple of days making photos in Maine’s High Peaks Region. For those who don’t know, the High Peaks Region in Maine basically includes the mountains stretching from Saddleback Mountain near Rangeley east to the Bigelow Range in Stratton. Check out some of the pics:
The Appalachian Trail traverses many of the peaks in the region, yet much of this area remained in unprotected, private ownership until recently. During the last 15 years, I’ve explored much of the region for organizations such as The Trust for Public Land and The Forest Society of Maine, working to protect both the working forests and the ecologically important high elevation forests found here. You can see photos from some of these past projects here: https://ecophotography.com/photo-assignments-in-amazing-places-maine-woods-conservation-continues/.

Cheers!
